Dana Phillips 

Dana comes from a background in creative art therapy, specialising in loss and grief, with experience that she uses to tell visual stories through her work, weaving together themes of longing, memory, childhood and a sense of loss.  As a multi-disciplinary artist Dana uses art, collage, textiles and photographic manipulation to create her artwork.

Cloud Cycling is composed of a family photograph from the 1960's and fund papers. The artist has combined the images to create a playful image of a child cycling through the air off on an adventure.

 

The original collage has been printed on silk and sewn into with silver threads to give this simple piece an ethereal affect and a dream like image.
